Trash Chutes

Features:

  • Fabricated from #16 U.S. gauge aluminized steel
  • Optional stainless steel chutes & fittings available
  • Optional Sound Insulation: Daubert 932 sound coat and Korfund sound isolator pads at each floor
  • Intake: 15″ x 18″ Stainless Steel, self-closing, positive latching, bottom-hinged door
  • Optional cylinder locks to prevent unauthorized use
  • Ventilation: full diameter vent 4′ above roof with metal explosion cap
  • Sprinklers: 165 degree sprinkler head with shield above top intake. Additional sprinklers and shields at every second intake (or as required by code).
  • Chute Cleating: Disinfecting and sanitizing units available.

Linen Chutes

linen chutesLinen chutes most often feature side hinged doors to accommodate linens (which are usually bagged or bundled). Doors are specially designed with cantilevered brackets and provide a full 180 degrees of opening.

ADA Compliant Chutes

ADA compliant chutesAll doors can be upgraded to include push button operation so they can be operated with only the push of a button.

Wilkinson ADA Compliant chute access doors resolve the conflict between Life Safety and Accessibility Codes. The patent-pending design maintains UL B-Label requirements while satisfying Accessibility requirements for control height/reach, opening force, and the grab, pinch or twist guidelines. ADA Complaint Doors can be retrofit into existing chute installations without adding electrical service. Interlocking doors are available with the Recycling System version.
